Amy Winehouse found dead

Ultimately, she could help herself. She made the choice to take drugs. No drugs, no overdose. The selfish bitch decided to do her own thing, ie, take more drugs. I can only hope that her legacy will to discourage others from taking drugs

You know what, so do I and this may actually remind people what a train wreck she was and what drugs and alcohol can do to you.

She was hardly the role model for fans of her music whatever their ages. This annoys me, when she could have been a much more positive influence on many people lives. Heck even if she had turned her life around it would have been a start.

The sentiments of some on here accurately reflect the level of influence she had for example Morba’s below.

com·pas·sion

   [kuhm-pash-uhn]
noun 1. a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.

I have no sympathy for her and feel no sorrow. I have no desire to alleviate the suffering for her death. So no, no compassion being shown here.

I am inclined to agree.

Whilst it saddens me that someone ends up at this point and especially for the family, I have no more compassion for this than for some random person who I don’t even know dying.

Just because she was famous doesn’t mean people should grieve or feel the need to grieve for her.

Might as well say that everyone who gets addicted to drugs is selfish and deserves to die, which is just ignorant.

How many people commenting actually have experience of drug and alcohol problems in their life?

Didn't say that did i? I just hate the 'awww she didn't need mto die at such a young age', was she trying to help herself? Did she want help from others?

And yes, I do have exerperience of drug and Alcohol problems, I have atleast three alcoholics in my family, so before you tarnish everyone with the same brush I suggest you keep pointless digs at people low. :)

I can't believe this is referred to as an "illness". It just isn't it's self inflicted. An illness is something you have no control over.

I wasn't a giant fan of her music anyway and so this will be no great loss to me. I do feel for her family and friends, especially to die so young, but let's be honest, it was to be expected unless she changed her lifestyle. I very much doubt she could have made any coherrent songs over the last year or two anyway.

I suspect her song "Rehab" will go down as one of the most ironic singles of all time, as opposed to iconic.

I might give her some respect if she actually wrote her own music. Hope Mark Ronson is next. What a talentless **** he is.

I wasn't referring to you specifically and I don't mind the :( comments but neither do I mind the ones saying she brought it on herself or that it's her own fault or even that they don't care.

What I do mind is the posts saying how she deserved to die and that they're glad it happened and that the world is now a better place and calling her a bitch, there's a difference between not liking someone and having unreasonable hate for them.

1 down, 1 to go...

Hopefully Pete Docherty will soon follow...

He should have gone first.....useless breather of air that he is.

I do feel for her family, but for her, hell no.
She chose to live her life the way she wanted. Fair enough, but she paid the consequences and to her selfish end.....now her family are suffering.

Anyone thinking that someone else is to blame needs to wise up. She shoved that crap up her nose and the alcohol from those bottles down her throat.
She was a decent singer, good voice, nothing more imho (accepted some people disagree). Certainly no stage presence, unless you count her drunken dancing and relying on the audience to finish the songs for her!

Just angers me that its all over the news and people are devastated....
27 years old, 2 albums.....self inflicted train wreck of a life, nothing else!

End of.

Docherty....beware you ******!

Writing lyrics doesn't count///

How can writing lyrics not count toward being a song writer, if she only wrote music she would be a composer. Songs have lyrics do they not?

Not that I think Amy Winehouse deserves half the recognition she is getting, but really mate, that is just a daft statement.

I'm sorry but that's awful. Cannot understand one word and she looks like a tramp.

I would end up throwing something at her.

yeah, and she even goes off stage for some reason, probably forgot where she was. I still love the performance though, oh and so do the 100,000 people in the crowd:)
