I've not posted in here before but I do enjoy a spot of mountain biking now and again. Thought I'd throw up a video of some of today's riding at my local trails.

Thanks to Supercow for the ContourHD, Can't wait for Morzine in two weeks! :D

Nice work mate, glad you are using it.

Quick tip though, point it upwards a bit more - when you think it's pointing up too much, then its just about right and could possibly point up more... especially if you are on steeper tracks (France)

Give that the camera always makes things look flatter than they are, I imagine that bit of boardwalk is very steep!

Anyone know how 661 shoes sizings compare to a normal shoe?

I wear size 12 Globes, but then normal shoes are a 10.5-11. I was thinking of going for a 46 or 47?

Some talk of the soles not being stiff enough for smaller SPD's, not sure if this is true or not. Can't find many SPD pedals with a large contact area apart from the crank brothers versions, which get quite poor reviews due to falling apart.

That boardwalk is very much butt over the back. Rolling it I was almost bottoming out my forks. :|

661 sizing is on the small side. I'm either a 7 or an 8. 661 I'm an 8.

Been playing with my new GoPro - loving the results and also getting to grips with the editing software.

Rob - I spent some time yesterday with the editing software again and I think I realise what I might have done to speed up that footage. With all the clips on my timeline, I highlighted two of them to move over to another point in the timeline.
In the process of dragging it from one point to an other, I dragged the end of the two clips towards the start, therefore shortening the clip (consisting of two clips) and in effect - speeding it up, doh!
I noticed it because I did it again while editing my new footage yesterday - had to restart the whole thing which was annoying ( Didn't know how to fix it after I completed the rendering and saved the project) :p

Gwin in Rolling Stone magazine!

Schoolboy error...

I thought it looked sped up and you made me think I was going mad! :p We all make mistakes though, when I first started editing cam footage I couldn't work out why my footage was squashed until someone pointed out I needed to select the correct aspect ratio :o :D

Haha, well I failed at doing another couple of things last night... but I must admit I'm having fun figuring this stuff out.

Twixtor is AMAZING btw - and if your editing software can use it, I'd suggest.. ahem... getting hold of it.

So much fun to play with, but you gotta make sure not to use too much of it in a vid - it gets lame if over-used

And a big bag of drugs.

...or juice up on your own blood like the roadies do! :p
