Right i'm probably the only person in the world to have a issue with this drive but here we go.

I bought it to run my OS off. I unhooked all the other hard drives, went into bios turned on AHCI ad booted up windows DVD and installed windows. As soon as windows ran i installed the Intel RST drivers. I installed a few programs and then I ran windows index (forgot todo that are the start).

Anyways i've been having a few issues straight after the install before I even put the RST on and ran windows index.

1, Sometimes when it boot's it'll stop after the windows logo for a couple of minutes then continue to boot normally.

2, I got one BSOD when installing itunes

3, I don't think it's running quite right if you check this HD Tune graph out, the speed change from 200mb/s to 360mb/s.

What do you think the issues are guys? How do I check if TRIM is working and it is not defragging (no idea what TRIM is I just want to make sure it works lol).

TRIM plays a part for garbage collection. You can check this is enabled by typing in the following at the command prompt:

fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify

if 0 then trim is enabled, if 1 then trim is not enabled

Do you have the lastest RST drivers?

What happens if you use the standard windows drivers?

I got the latest RST drivers. I never tried the standard windows drivers I never knew you could I thought you had to install RST to work? If I uninstall RST will it be fine?

Trim is set to 0 apparently phew.

Now i'm getting a even weirdo issue. When I restart and about to put in my password to login as soon as I press a key for my password it all crashes except the mouse. Just tried pressing the arrow to login without a pass and crashed now too.

Just a upgrade all other parts are working 100% fine. I uninstalled the RST drivers and I don't seem to be having any problems yet so will wait and see.

by the way, I'm guessing that a crucial drive ;)

What motherboard do you have?

Yes, just see how it goes with the standard drivers. If that works, then grab an archived copy of the RST and try that.. If that works, then it has to be a the latest drivers..

It might also be worth checking for a firmware updates (only if you are out of options)

it might also be worth updating your motherboard BIOS too

I run a MSI P67 C45. Oops never realised I wrote Corsair ha. If it works i'm just going to leave it don't want to mess with it too much. Might try updating things at a later date, exhausted from restoring my pc.

Right installed latest RST drivers, updated LPM reg, updated motherboard bios and then finally updated firmware on my SSD. Let's hope this works.

I had to remove the rst drivers, and it has been much better for the past couple of hours, found it to hang a little with the rst drivers installed

Right just for everyone who experiences problems with this drive after doing all of this I've had no problems at all.

Do a deep and i mean deep CMOS clear.
Pull the ram at the same time and leave it out.

I been getting them during the day today but i think it's ram related for me, hard to tell as im such a new bord

have to say mine is running fine, or i seem to think so
