Hey all.
I have a P55A motherboard and from some quick searching it looks like the Sata III on it is pretty slow and also has no Trim.
Therefore I would be using Sata II.

I have an OCZ Vertex 60GB and want more speed and a larger capacity.

I am looking at the Agility 3 but how much would the speed be affected by running it on Sata II? I don't think it will be much as the 500mb (ish) read speeds will just be a peak speed that occurs for a fraction of a second.
I remember seeing a comparison review between Sata II and Sata III with this generation of SSD hard drives but I cannot seem to locate it.

Thanks in advance :).

no point in getting 3 series ssds, u will be losing almost half available speed, get 2 series ocz or corsair. as stated above max output is 300mb, and 3 series are 550/500 sorta speak

That may not be completely correct. Those max speeds are the absolute max and are used for marketing purposes only. The drive will typically operate much slower than this.

This may be it:
Vertex 3 Review inc. SataII comparison http://www.storagereview.com/ocz_vertex_3_review_240gb
(although not many 'real world' tests such as boot time).
