Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds

Everybody;s on the Run is the new Live Forever. Probably because it has 'morning rain' in it.

Apparently those stupid Aka titles stem from the songs being written and named after particular people. Which reminds me of Kelly Jones' solo effort somewhat.

The real album is the one he recorded with AA apparently, label thought it was too uncommercial so he flew to LA to re-do it.

I don't like the single as a single choice, it's Importance's less tuneful cousin if you ask me. It's quite chilled out though. I'm sure it fits well on the album. Not impressed by the amount of 'America' in that video and single artwork either! I've still got high hopes for the album as a whole, mainly because Everybody on The Run and Record Machine are absolutely amazing.

How have you heard Everybody's On The Run?

I think this is better than a lot of Oasis stuff and I love Oasis. Maybe Liam is getting better with age?

If Noels stuff is half as good I'll be over the moon:)

Beady Eye are ok but i can guarantee Noels solo stuff will be so much better,in simple terms hes a far better song writer than the other 3 (Liam/Andy Bell/Gem)

Ive been waiting for a solo album from him for so many years,i expect it to be very good.

I grew up with all the oasis stuff love their music to bits , but that is awful and it pains me to say it :(

I only hope Noels stuff is a lot better , really is a shame as the UK INDIE music needs someone decent again

Liam's voice is just not a patch on what it used to be, it's such a drone. Better than the mid 2000s phase where he sounded shockingly bad and had to pull back from the microphone to breath but it's just... crap now :(

ah well. I love them:p

*Some* of the songs really aren't that bad actually. I've just had another listen. Bring The Light really put me off though, and Liam's reputation precedes him, unfortunately. I wish he would just save his breath for singing and show some humility.:D

I guess that doesn't fuel the interest though.

I'll probably get the album now. Live his voice is terrible but on these recordings it doesn't sound too bad. I wish they'd have just released these songs whilst they were Oasis. I thought they were just throwing **** at the wall and hoping something would stick but they've probably had the songs all along but weren't allowed to release them under Noel's creative dictatorship.

Just had an email saying he's doing a gig at the Apollo Hammersmith on Saturday 29 October 2011. Tickets are on sale at 09:00 tomorrow.
