True, but if they've taken away the warning signs then you have to keep your eyes peeled all the time, which is annoying when driving fast as I'd much rather be watching the road ahead, rather than the verges.
Seem to remember you need a pass to use the motorways in Switzerland, think its called a vignette...we always hire our cars from the Swiss side of Geneva because they always have it already..but seeing as you are now driving there yourself you might want to purchase one on the internet, they are about 25-30 quid
You can buy the pass as you cross the border into Switzerland as well. Had some friendly men with guns stop me as I was driving through and was informed that I had to purchase one. It's a much better system than the stupid tolls they have everywhere in France!
Meh - went there in January this year (and March last year). All the way into the country and to nearish Zermatt (on the opposite side of the valley) and drove at 90-100 all the way on their motorways. True i got flashed a bit by the locals but don't remember seeing a speed camera or a police car. As you'd expect the motorways are very good.
I have hired in geneva airport a couple of times but no special advice really. One thing I would say is it is a nice drive down if you fancy going in your own. Have done that a couple of times to go snowboarding.
