Everyone said go with Chris Knott, they quoted me £850 !

Go to a specialist, I am currently insured with Adrian Flux for £530 a year with a low excess (150 iirc) and all mods declared and covered, I have previously been with Chris Knott,(500 last year). and I am 26 with only 4 years experience and 4 years ncb. It is doable, but you will need to bargain, barter and put them all up against each other.

I need to do some calling around for quotes.

I'm 25 with 5 years NCB and the best i can get (online) is £970 through Adrina Flux.

I'm sure looking at what SoLiD pays that i can get it much lower than that though!

I've been offered 2 ST220's so far. Ones the 2004 in PB, the other is a 2002 in Black. 2002 centre console sucks, but it does have Nav and Xenons. I think i'd actually prefer the facelift... pre-facelift dash isn't very nice

You want 2004+ (i think late 2003 aswell) because 2002 was on the older 5 speed gearbox which is not as good or as strong as the 6 speed on the later models.

I have got the money to buy one and sell mine after, but if I can do a PX that is preferable. The Zetec S is advertised for a few hundred more than its worth so if I can PX for a facelift ST220 then it's preferable to selling, unless someone puts the asking price in my hand before the PX happens of course!

30mpg on a good run, but round town its going to be <24. My current average is 27 which is mostly straight line carrigeway with tiny bit of town / stop start driving

Get 25-26 Average, and approximately 33 on a run out of mine, keeping it sensible!
