just bought ssd anything i need to know?

as per title i just bought a 60gb vertex 2, is there anything i need to know before installing windows, ect like do i need to setup trim?/do anything in the bois. i ahould of researched this before :rolleyes:

read the ssd thread but couldnt find what to do/im blind so can anybody help me?

just installed a m4 ssd today.
All I did was unplug all my other drives connect up the ssd, set boot device in efi to dvd rom drive. then change mode from hdd to achi or what ever it was called, ran fresh install of windows 7, and away it went.
However i did UN install the Intel rst driver thing as it was hanging the system a little bit

ok nice, think ive sorted it now, just unplugged other drives, installed windows achi, the lot. just downloading rst now

tried installing rst and it said i didnt meet the requirments :S, can you give me a download link so im doing the right thing please

and is it right that i only have 38.7gb out of 55.7gb? :S kinda worried

edit: i haz question. just noticed that when i click on my computer there is a partition/harddrive thingy that shows as system (F

this was never there before and i think it is part of the ssd because its only 9gb but like 5gb of that is taken up with files like this SPL_WINDOWS.SWM in a folder called iomage layout.
now can i get rid of this to put add more space to my ssd(if it is part of the ssd) or do i need it.

I bought the 64 gig m4, but only have 59.3 gig, so they are not the size they say

yeah but thats without windows installed?

yup with nothing installed it is still only 59.3 gig

64gb is the unformatted capacity.
