Difference between GTX560 and GTX560Ti?

A single HD 6850 is at least on a par with a GTX 460 so if you've had enough of Crossfire the easiest option is to sell one of your HD 6850's rather than try to sell both and buy a GTX 460.

but that wont cure the microstutter and other issues fifa 11 has with AMD cards
and the GTX460 has twice as much VRam so should allow better AA settings and stuff?

A GTX 560 is an overclocked GTX 460. As such the GTX 460 is the better value card without a doubt.

A GTX 560Ti has more processing cores.

Also a GTX 460 has a better quality PCB and generally uses better quality components, compared to the regular GTX 560.

A more accurate definition of the GTX 560 is a crippled GTX 560 Ti, in which one of the 8 streaming multiprocessors has been disabled, reducing the number of shader cores from 384 to 336. Both are GF114 based, while the GTX 460 is a GF104. Some say that the GTX 560s are produced by laser cutting the failed GTX 560 Ti chips. The PCB quaility is down to the manufacturer. Gigabyte and Asus do their own PCBs, others seem to be using the reference GTX 560 Ti PCB. In my mind the GF114 is superior to the GF104, and I would choose the GTX 560 over the GTX 460.

i tried it with a single card and was still there.
i seem to remember having the problems with my HD5770s aswell, but my 9800GT ran it perfectly (was fifa 10 then, so EA obvs hadnt learnt).
i think it didnt notice soo much on my old system as my X2 555 was bottlenecking the system or i just didnt notice it. but now i have shelled out on my 2500k build, i want things to work, so if that means taking a small performance hit but having games run smoothly then i will accept that until the new cards come out, or EA fix the issue in Fifa 12.

my GTX460 arrived, was miss described by our supplier, was the S model so has the higher core clocks
