Do you think it would be better if they used cods system to find enemies. The if you fire you show up on the map a while. I think that it's a really good fair system.

What happened to the age old system of nothing but your brains and listening out? that not feasible anymore?

Ok now battlelog wont let me run the game because aparantly theres a game running in the background, I have reset origin and reloaded battlelog and it has done nothing i have even checked my processes and theres nothing there.

erm just reboot :p

Yeah it' not a bad system, keep it so only those within a certain range show up when they let blast. TBH 2D spotting is all that is required on PC.

It seems many new age gamers can't or are too stubborn with this stupid system of being told where people are with brightly coloured icons.

Using excuses like "it promotes team play" and "it's a way to tell people who don't have comms where enemies are", instead of realising it could also promote camping, foliage humping and that there's no skill in spotting something you quite obviously never saw to begin with and are getting Q key spam happy. Soon we'll have gamers who want permanent icons over the enemies head and/or radar, oh wait... whenever I see console COD players play over here they already do. (Enemies always on minimap).

Thing is, spotting in BC2 isn't even in the same ballgame as this current build of bf3, this one is WORSE. (Understand it's alpha and can change).

3D spotting is just a hack shipped with a game, available to everyone, takes away any intelligence and awareness of surroundings needed to find enemies. Don’t want to keep harping on about BF2, but what exactly was wrong with 2D spotting using the mini map?

Absolutely crazy. In the old days this kind of thing was a hack. Get rid.

If you cant beat them, join them. Now everyone has the fun of hacking. Im sure at one point we have autoaim or some sort of mouse assist, this would be very useful for when Im eating while playing

If there is no CO will it have artillery and air strikes etc I remember hating that artillery and the satellite where you can zoom in and see everyone overhead and UAV where no one could hide, bf2 had its hacks too i guess

main problem for me is the motion blur.

this isn't me spinning the mouse wildly or spinning round this is just moving the aim one inch to the side at my normal aiming pace.

makes the game unplayable as you can't see anything

Is it just me that doesn't have it but whats is that red thing next to the map?

Or did tefal put it there to cover squad names.

As much as he keeps banging on about it to us, he isn't wrong about it. What you're looking at in that video is a guy sat well within a bush to the extent he can't actually see out of it, however with 3d spotting that doesn't matter he just aims for where the spots are. You surely can't be alright with that?

Sigh, so many pages ago in this very thread ........

I have to keep mentioning it to try and rebutt the constant whining about it. I agree it's not perfect and should be a 'last known position' (as per my previous posts) when they duck behind cover but how else do you signal to the rest of your team?

I probably died a thousand times from 'wallhacking' 3d spotting in BC2, it's didn't put me off playing it and I can do the same back to them so it's not like only they can use it, is it? I mean, lets face it if I'd been spotted and was being shot at I normally duck behind cover, it only took a few seconds to wear off and I was back in the action. If you're dumb enough to hear the shots flying past and getting hit and don't cover then you deserve to die regardless of where the shooter was camping or if they had been spotted. Look at the video, he fires a lot of shots before he actually hits and kills most of them, plenty of time to get some cover.

It's not perfect, it's not the best thing in the world, it happens to both teams so there is no advantage to either player or side. It'll probably remain in the game, maybe tweaked to be this 'last known position' perhaps but life will go on. If people really feel that strongly about it I can't understand why they keep going on about it. Buy the game, don't buy the game - I care very little. Just stop going on about it lol. It's a topic that has received enough attention. Sure, discuss how it might be improved perhaps but lets stop the total troll "OMG WALLHACKS" type of comments shall we?

Tbh, i don't see any reason for any of you to get the game. You're just going to continue ********, whining and arguing when i'm adding you to my list of killstreaks, considering i'm the best gamer to ever grace FPS'.

Just sayin'.

Hi Tefal,

What system you running, must say i never really noticed any blur never mind that level, looks like a trip out mode MOD

q6600
4870x2
8gb ram

game runs fine but motion blur is just far far too high especially when running and aiming at the same time.

i do play with a sensitivity where 2.3cm sideways mouse movement is a 360 turn in bc2 so maybe it just doesn't like high sens mouse settings :(
