I'm assuming it's too old. IIRC, the cars have to be under a certain age (5 years?) otherwise it won't get a license.

looked at a sri 160 last time i was down at vauxhall picking parts up, specced nav, leather and xenons and it came to over 25k ouch thats getting near new 3 series money
That and they seem to be holding their money rather well. that and they are priced rather highly for what they are.
Perhaps some taxi drivers have BMWs precisely because of image? After all, if the average punter sees two taxis parked outside an airport, one is a BMW and the other is a Skoda, I guess they'd be more likely to get in the BMW.

Only Hackney Carriage drivers are allowed to pick up in this way and almost all of these purpose built taxis.
