Hazro series - HZ30Wi, HZ30WiQ, HZ27WA, HZ27WB & HZ27WC

If it's faulty/not fit for purpose then OCUK have to pay all costs, so they would have to pay for you to return it.

Oh, alright.

But I'm still going to have to pay first to get it sent out there, right? There was no mention of them paying or giving me a print off in the RMA email I got. :p

Companies tend to avoid telling you so they can try to avoid the cost. Not sure how OCUK work this, whether they will get a courier to collect it themselves or whether they will give you the money back for sending it to them. Would probably be worth sending them another email and asking

Well, sent an email, thanks.

Checked my RMA webnote and it's listed as a Unfit for purpose/Faulty Unwanted Refund.

Guess I'll have to wait for restock then buy again. :p

OK well after a lot of messing about my monitor (non glass) is kind of up and running I need a new Graphics Card - my PC is a DELL INSPIRON 530S E6750 CORE - which is the low profile slimline desktop - so I need a recommendation for a graphics card that will actually fit this particular model.

I do not game on the monitor/PC - it is more for movies, office work and browsing.

I'm pretty sure this card will work for you. One of the comments even says it fits in the 530s. It includes the low profile bracket.

I am getting fed up with my C version not displaying the BIOS and if its not fixed soon I will be contacting Hazro to pick this monitor up and give me my money back. Its absolutely stupid that is wasnt tested with certain GFX cards before being bought into the market.

HAZRO I want an update please.

TBF, it is probably the graphics card at fault, can't see why the monitor couldn't display it as it just accepts an input. I'm guessing it must be an issue with DVI dual link with certain cards. It's ATi you need to be getting onto about it, and taking their card back rather than the monitor imo!

I agree with Joesmith! It's certianly not Hazros fault at all.

Hey Overslop, now after having the monitor for a few days, are you happy you paid the extra money for the A version? :)

Also, this HDCP issue, can it be fixed with a firmware update (I'm doubting it) or are people who bought them early on completely screwed? That'd be crap. :(

Sorry for late reply, didn't see this post until now.

Going for the A version was an absolute must for me as I have my Xbox 360 hooked up to it (via my A/V receiver) as well as my PC. Will be connecting other devices to it as well and so the scalers were essential.

For me, it was either this or one of the new Samsung 27" 120Hz screens. Still not 100% sure I made the correct decision but I think so and I'm well chuffed regardless. :)

One thing worth mentioning though is I've noticed some weird wavy lines on certain mkv files. Never had this issue with my TV using the same files - tried using different media players and codecs but the issue persists. Same issue cropped up in Zombie Driver but no other games. Will be keeping an eye on this and update if I get any more solid info. Anyone else noticed something like this?

My 5870 was out way way before this monitor was even produced, do you think they could have tested it before they released it? I think so. I blame the monitor

Let me guess, the missing HDCP isn't Hazro's fault either?

I really like my 27" wc screen but it's quite clear massive savings were made in QC/QA.

My dell 2407 has hdcp for crying out loud, it's not like hdcp is something new. The same goes for this ati/amd 'bug', it's quite simply just not good enough.

While I think I'll keep this display for as long as it lasts me. My next one will be either an apple thunderbolt/cinema display or dell 27/30" display. Just can't be bothered with all these niggles.

I'm still waiting Hazro for any kind of update about this BIOS issue. I havn't seen hazro post here for ages.

Tbh, I think they are just ignoring it... hoping everyone will soon buy new graphics cards and not have this problem anymore :)

Until the problem persists with the next iteration of AMD gpus as well. Then what?

Even though I have no problems except for the HDCP one ( which I by passed using DVDFab Passkey ), I still want them to sort out the other poblems.

I'm due a new system soon and the last thing I want is to have problems after spending another clump of money.

I was under the impression this was a 5xxx problem, also in the 6xxx? But you are absolutely right, was just saying I think they are ignoring it.

Hazro admitted that the 5xxx series if giving them nothing but grief, although I think some users here are also having problems with the 6xxx.

I certainly hope they're working on a solution though. It's a great panel that they produce, it's a pitty there are these software problems.

Otherwise I'm sure they'd be selling even better, although given that all their monitors are out of stock on their site, people must certainly like them.

We're not aware of problems with AMDs 6xxx series cards and if there are any issues, please report them to us [as we have confirmation from AMD that the 6xxx cards won't have any problems]. The 5xxx cards do have issues such as the BIOS not displaying. These are issues with the graphics card and not the monitor itself. A f/w from AMD is due but this is somewhere in the back of a very long list of updates requested by the numerous other OEMs. To launch a monitor and guarantee 100% compatibility with every card simply isn't possible. Standards have been around for over 20 years but the ever increasing complexity of peripherals means not all products 'talk' to each other the way they should.

So...what? I buy a panel from Hazro and just have to expect this problem until AMD decide to fix it? You could have tested this monitor on all cards out on the market before putting this to market but you decided not to do so.

This means I have to have another panel just to rebuild my machine which in my opinion is not acceptable, or buy another GFX card which is going to cost me more money. Your panel was already rather expensive in my book so why should I go and buy a new GFX card as well.

I suggest you chase this up before I decide to go to tranding standards. Unless you want to directly liease with me about my issue with this monitor. The monitor is not fit for purpose.
