Already confirmed to be a different map for the beta

As long as its not another god damn rush map, wtf is it with Dice and their stiffy for this game mode. All the testing for BC2 was on rush as well.

We need a conquest map on the scale of the BF2 demo, with similar vehicle counts and variety as well.

it's funny that the "snipers" who should be the best marksmen in the game are the least capable of holding their gun steady and what should be very powerful long barrelled rifles have more bullet drop than an smg.

The rifles in this seem to have the bullet dropping practically the instant it leaves the barrel. If you were 3 feet away from someone the round would have a better chance of hitting their big toe than their chest. :o

Balance, snipers that can just shoot willy nilly like everyone else would dominate, I know I do already as it is.

I'm honestly baffled about this, I don't seem to have this issue, at least not with the MK11.

You just have to watch where the round hits, it drops after a stupidly short distance.

They will not do it. The testing, in alpha and beta is exactly what it is, testing.

Why would they put one of the big maps out on it as everyone will get bored of it? Like Gulf of Oman.

They are just fine tuning the back end and the physics. Unfortunately , they can do this on any size map. That is what we get to play it for free.

I was never really that sick of oman, I hated kackland more

I doubt they'll do another oman as that was almost the complete game in essence. I played it for about 2 months every day on a ti4200 before upgrading

Karkand really had me scratching my head, especially considering the amount of bitching about no Jets so far ive no idea how that got to be the most popular BF map. Anytime i played it just seemed to be a marathon of grenade spammage in a few key areas with only a couple of vehicles to use.

I only put about 130 hours into bf2 anyway. the dolphin diving got far too tedious for me, probably enjoyed the demo more than the full game.

Well you really don't know if theyre going to do it or not, far more feedback and bugs would be discovered with more gameplay elements available for players to use.

Fun fact of the day:

Apparently the "flashlights" ive spotted in the tunnel area is actually the sniper glint, seems that Engineer flashlights are't enabled yet.. 0_o

Very good point. We shall see. My only concern now, is that is has been so hyped up, I am bound to be disappointed. There shall never be such an amazing game as BF2, which in all honestly was not that hyped when it launched. It took my life away for nearly five years.

For the first time in nearly a week of play our team fought all the way to the city and won!

Real feeling of achievement! :D

Didn't know it was a re-download for the updated stress test and client change... /lazyfail

Started the download 15 minutes ago and got 20% up nicely, now its kicked down to 31 KB/sec

Sorry stress test, i'll be fashionably late (24 hours ok?...)
