Although relatively short lived, I have to say, I will miss 16:10 ratio displays.

I am looking for a new 120Hz monitor and suddenly realised, little to NO 120hz 16:10 displays exist which is a shame.

Looks like 16:10 is now the realm of the pro-sumer.

So, I raise a toast, 16:10, you will be missed.. you kicked ***, especially for games.

I HATE 16:9. I have two at work and they do my nut in, they're like peering through a letterbox. I have 2x 16:10 at home and I much prefer them.

I want 3x 120hz 24"s eventually though, so I'll have to let go. :(

16:9 is only better for films can't think of any apps that really benefit from the extra horizontal space. I miss 16:10 too

Got two 16:10 monitors here, (20" viewsonic vx2025, 24" benq fp 241w), prefer them any day to a 16:9 screen, not looking forward to when i eventually have to replace them.

I miss them too. My main monitor at the moment is 16:10 and it is great, but I want to move to 120hz.

Why do they make these 120hz monitors which gamers will be interested in and put them at 16:9 when 16:10 is better for gaming?

i must be the only person who prefers 16:9 :p

for instance, im watching the F1 in HD and i can make it full screen - my monitor becomes a TV :D :D :D

16:9 @ 120Hz when your talking 1920x is a lot less problematic than 16:10 which is closer to the bandwidth limit.

Theres plenty of 22" 16:10 120Hz panels - tho obviously they are only 1680x1050.

Everyone already has a 50" plasma, we don't want to watch TV on a 22" monitor.

The main issue is that for the majority of applications 16:9 is not most suitable, eg artwork, photography, web browsing, it results in loads of wasted space.
