What film did you watch last night?

Superbad - 7.5/10 I was worried that I was getting too old for teenage comedies but this film proved otherwise, made me lol at numerous points and the main characters were brilliant.

Body Of Lies - 6/10 it was an OK film but not brilliant I cant put my finger on why not, but it just didnt grip me enough.

I watched Pirates of the Caribbean. The first one. It's the first time I've actually sat down and watched it and not just seem bits of it while flicking through the channels.

Nothing special really, at least I didn't think so.

I really really like the beginning when the island is under siege, it really reminds me of Monkey Island. After that part... meh.

I Am Number Four - It was pretty cheesey sci-fi film but strangely enjoyable to watch. Hot chicks, aliens, guns and a cute dog. What more could you ask for... 6.5/10

Up next is Thirteenth Floor...can't remember if I ever watched this when it first came out. Scotchegg has said it is good so I hope it will be...

13th Floor is excellent.

Draws comparisions with the matrix and dark city :)

You've got the same schedule as myself albeit I'm only half way through ' I am number 4 ' - Using it as lunchtime filler :D Similar sentiments as yours

Johnny Depp as Captain Jack was one of the greatest performances in cinematic history. Yes it's a touch cheesy, yes it's a bit camp, but the first PotC movie ranks alongside Indiana Jones or even Star Wars in terms of impact. Saying it's "nothing special" is just ridiculous. Even if you didn't personally enjoy it.

Happy to admit the fourth was a bag of **** though... :D ;)

I pretty much base all my movie watching on this thread. I like peoples impartial views on films and then I decide for myself if I want to watch them. I find it works and I pick up and find some great films I would have missed normally.

The 13th Floor was enjoyable, probably should have watched it on a different night to a hot sticky night, after a heavy sleep reduced weekend. It was a bit of a mind melt towards the end. Loved the 1930s styling and was pretty well acted for the most part. 7/10

Up next Dark City...

Without a Paddle 9/10 - funny had me laughing
