Playing with the brake balance and too much understeer under braking. Ooops! :(

how do you get chrome paint - ive read that after x amount of either cars/races/ etc you should get a chrome paint or special paint - ive never received any .

Also B- Spec races not done them for a while so i though i'll have a look and see what onces i can finish of

Extreme > American Championship > Luguna Seca

No matter what i put any of my drivers in (there all level 31-34) they are crap at it.

I tried my RM Corvette that they have all used in a lot of races and have no problems with it yet, they wont over take - they just slow down and follow the car ahead then spin on corners (with me shouting your not in a fkn ride on grass cutter you stupid fk), tried the Viper they have all used in other races the same happens

Anyone got any advice - i swear im gonna punch all of my B-Spec drivers in the nose because of the way they act in this race, only race so far ive seen them do it in - other races they might fall behind but they do as told over take etc - this one they just do what ever they want.

PD should bring in a take over option - even if its not a full race - allow you to race for 20 seconds to sort the idiot b spec drivers out.

Rant over lol

Dunno if it's random but you do get them. Not until you have a LOT of cars though, I was getting them for 800, 820, 870, 900 and other amounts reached, it's possible it's random but could be set on certain amounts too. It's possible you start getting them earlier than that (maybe 600+ cars?) but either way you do need a hell of a lot of cars in your garage to start getting chrome paint. You get matte paint too btw.

As you can see, you don't get many, 2 of each and I had 1000 cars in my garage before I decided to sell most of it.

I wonder if this is as annoying as B-Spec Historic Cup, at Monaco (i.e. Cote D'Azur). Now I'm sure I could blitz this if I had a Chapparal 2J, but I don't, and can't afford one. So next best thing is the Toyota 7. After a billion restarts, my B-Spec (level 34) bob is finally in the lead, last lap, with two 2Js close behind, but holding them off. Out of the tunnel, into the chicane, and clips the mother ******* wall and spins out. FUUUUUUUUUUUUU....

Be good to get an OcUK race session going! I'd certainly be up for it :)

Feel free to add me: PSN = CaptainFail_172

Sydney tries to get people to play online together quite often. You should add him to PSN as you'll often find him post details for his lobby.

It's random, given how many paints are in the game you won't get many. I currently have 4.

Many people (I'm not saying you) don't understand how B-Spec works. The historic cup really challenges you on B-Spec because if you push your driver for the entire race, you won't win.

Get up to a place thats usually fairly easy in the first lap or two (ie 2nd or 3rd) then you need to stop pushing. You want to let the computer in front have it's bar drop deep into the blue so that it isn't pushing, because when you're close to it, you increase their bar and they will push harder.

My point is, if you get the computers bar fully into the Blue and yours fully into the Red - by the time you get near the CPU you'll whiz past so quickly that by the time you gain some distance ahead the CPU, it will already start dropping off further behind you.

There is also some risk that being to high into the Red you are more prone to mistakes, B-Spec is fun once you get the hang of it.

I did these in the Jag around a similar level to the CPU - If you still struggle I'm sure someone will borrow you a 2D or 2J.

Ugh... one thing PD REALLY need to fix already is the entry requirements for seasonals. "This many PP, this length, this weight" etc is all well and good but it's a massive pain when you go from that screen to your garage to pick a car and the game doesn't filter your garage correctly so it still shows a bunch of cars that don't qualify.

Case in point, latest seasonal for small cars. I go to my garage and pick a car that fits the requirements according to the game and get told it doesn't fit the requirements, despite it being a car the game has filtered as apparently being valid. Sometimes it works (Ferrari challenge for example, though even there it filtered out my 458 for no particular reason and I had to manually exit to garage and change into it) but mostly I've found it just doesn't filter your garage correctly at all for the current event.

Most annoying :|

I'm thinking of buying a Logitech Driving Force GT to use with this game, anybody have experience using one? Found one brand new for £70 + postage so I'm mighty tempted as it seems legit too.

I have one and think its pretty good for the money , dont expect it to compare to the really expensive wheels but its miles better than buying some cheapo wheel for sure .

I have this too, it's pretty good but after I bought it I felt somewhat disappointed when I realised people were getting the G27 for £125 now and then through various offers that appear.

I'm not after a G25/27 really, far too expensive for the amount I'll use it! Just been looking through some reviews and they don't mention it having gear shift paddles on the back of the wheel? does it have any or is it only the gear stick on the edge of the wheel?

:edit: Just found a new G25 for £114... argh! :p don't know what to do now!

It's out of stock actually, maybe it was too good to be true! :(

The wheel does have some sort of make shift gear shift at the back of the wheel, but they are big square buttons - you could say. It does the job put it that way, but since your oohing and aahing at a G25 I think you may end up feeling as I did if you buy the DFGT.

BUT - the DFGT is a very good wheel. It just depends how picky you are over things like real paddle shifts etc.

prolly a few years too late for anything awesome, but recently started plugging the ethernet back into my ps3 haha

Thanks for the info .Lethal :) I think I may keep a look out for a cheap G25 on ebay over the next few weeks. I'll have probably scrapped the idea by then though as I need a good wheel stand to go with it. It'll probably start getting a little expensive then. :o
