I really hope you are wrong. For a pre-release trial I can understand but for a full release that is just plain dumb.
Open Origin -> Open BF3 -> Browser window opens -> log in to Battlelog -> Select server -> Back to Origin to launch the game.
I really cannot see that^^ taking off too well especially when games normally omit three of those steps.
It will still be like £40+.
No.
Go to battlelog -> press Quick Match (uses your pre-defined server browser filters) -> 5-10 seconds later you're in-game.
But if I don't have Origin open it will still take longer. Good point though you can go direct to the website. Still stupid as I really cannot see what the website can do that in-game services can't do? (Apart from profiles but who the hell wants to look at someone's profile on Battlelog?)

If it works then its already much better than the flaky server browsers we get ingame for most BF releases![]()
Lol quite. I really still don't see how this is in any way better. Sure it is different and new and interesting, but better? I don't think so. In the future will all my games launch from a browser? Sounds like Google's idea of utopia.
Went for a limited edition copy as well.
ags
What's so special about limited edition? Does it contain some extra stuff?
Back to Karkland?

No. It's not dumb, it's genius. If you really don't think so then I think you're playing the wrong franchise.

Another revelation regarding BF3 has just leaked onto the web: the Battlefield 3 Limited Edition will reportedly include a DLC titled “Back to Karkand”, which will include 4 BF2 maps remade with the Forstbite 2 engine, including the famous Strike At Karkand. On top of that, the DLC will ship with vehicles and weapons from BF2 as well.
Those who do not get the Limited Edition will be able to purchase the Back To Karkand DLC a month after the game is released, and it’s rumored to retail at $10.
