*** OFFICIAL Batman: Arkham City Thread ***

I thought that too but this is a game i'd like to see on my 100% completion page :-)

I just had to try and try and try again with it. It got to the point where I'd have entire rounds mapped out in my head to get a high score that I could reliably get. It was a bit of a "Tetris effect" thing, because I wouldn't even be playing and I'd be thinking "Strike, counter, strike, strike, evade, throw, strike, strike, takedown, batclaw, etc, etc". I'd be quitting out of rounds 3 seconds in if I missed the timing on a counter or something.

When I finally did get Shock and Awe Extreme I was still doing the final takedown as the electricity came on, so I did only beat it by a fraction of a second.

It will be cool to have but i don't normally buy collector editions of any sort of game. Also i heard they're supposed to reveal like a new character at comic-con tomorrow.

Joystiq have confirmed that the CE will be out over here, defintely going to pick it up I want that statue

I've still not played the first game, I played the demo on the PS3 but found that just a bit 'meh'... is the full game much better?

The game is amazing, the story great. You get a lot more then you do from that short demo. And it's better to play Arkham Asylum so you know whats happening if you get Arkham City.

Slightly off topic, but would anyone else like to see Harley Quinn in one of the films?

I think it would be a nice feature. I liked the connection they had in the cartoons. It was like a love/hate relationship. She loves him and he hates her lol but they would be a good double act if it got pulled of right.

 CE only £60, figured it would be around the £99 mark given that seems to be the norm now for CE

Batman: Arkham City's pre-order costumes have been revealed.

Skins from Batman Beyond, The Dark Knight Returns, The Animated Series and Earth One will be available from select retailers, according to ArkhamCity.co.uk.

While the full listing has yet to be revealed, UK retailers ShopTo.net and GameStop.co.uk will stock the 1970s skin and Batman Beyond skin respectively.

Meanwhile, Collector's Edition owners in any region will receive The Dark Knight Returns skin.

Batman: Arkham City will see both Batman and Catwoman as playable characters, while Robin will be playable on Challenge Maps as a pre-order incentive.

Hope those costumes are available as DLC as well, would love to go through the game donned as either the 1970's Batman or the Animated Series Batman

It's Dark Knight Returns. If you don't know what that is....you aren't a Batman fan.

Beyo0nd skin is definitely the smexiest out of those though how will he glide without a cape?

Dark Knight Returns was a comic by Frank Miller, widely regarded as his finest work following Batman in his fifties taking up the cape again.
