Guys ,

I recently took my pc apart to give it a real good clean , and i have only just noticed i have lost my overclock , its gone back to its original clock speed , i brought the overclocked bundle from overclockers over a year ago , any idea what to do as i have no idea about overclocking and want it back to 4GHz , i have made no adjustments to the pc since i got it.

You will need to go into bios and load the overclocked profile that OCUK will have created there. Sure it'll be called something with "OCUK" in the name.

For whatever reason the bios must have reset defaults. You'll need to contact OCUK to get instructions of the exact overclock, or possibly sent it back to them to do for you. Alternatively you can post up your specs, and people should be able to help you do it yourself.

Likely scenario is that the board shorted/CMOS bridged somewhere, maybe on a standoff or on the case if he removed it, not a rare occurance.

What model is it, CPU and motherboard?

I do have some OCUK settings for a 4.2GHz intel overclock on a Gigabyte UD2H mobo. Cannot attach to this post but will send by email if you wish. Click on the link at the bottom of my post to send mail.

The only difference would be the clock multiplier I would think. It uses 191 x 22 for 4.2Ghz, 191 x 21 gives 4.0Ghz.

andy.
