HTC 7 Pro - Whats your experience with this mobile?

Its easier said than done, I'm having to survive on my wifes old 'PINK' Motorola V3 :(

This can be considered retro-chic if you use the palmtree background ;) Am honestly suprised it's survived, I thought the connections died on the V3's pretty quick.

I'd imagine he means the smaller screen, thicker body and poorer camera.

Nope, the screen is .6" bigger than the X1, camera is better and the body is just as thick. The problem I have with the phone is that it was marketed as a £450+ handset when released which to me is pretty high end (have to pay for it on a contract) yet it came out 2 years after the X1 and the only difference between the handsets is faster internals and the accelerometer. I didn't want a bigger screen or a bigger handset, the X1 was the same size as a k700i but I needed an upgrade, this feels like a sidestep.

OS wise I'm getting more frustrated, ok there's a lot of stuff missing out the box that should have been there at launch which mango is fixing, but I'm getting regular lockups with marketplace (just freezes) and "apps" (such a horrible term, hate that word) often fail to load and dumps me back on the start menu. Last night 2 apps on marketplace wanted updates and it actually threw up an error code for the first time instead of crashing without notice. I'm having to reset the device 2-3 times a day to get around freezes. I miss having a file explorer, I miss having the ability to plug it into any pc to drag/drop files, I miss having more options in menus and I really miss multitasking right now.

I'm pleased I only paid £220 for it as it really is just a sidestep from what I have, only reason I bought it is because I needed a new qwerty handset for a cheap price as my X1 spends more time with the repair centre for cracked chassis than it does with me. If I had to chose again I'd still get one, I was just expecting more after having my last handset for 30 months.
