Murdoch shaving foam attack guy gets 6 weeks in jail

Yes, because bribing a judge would be an incredibly sensible thing to do in this position wouldn't it? Who exactly was the one bribing the judge?

Murdoch, just like he paid off all those policemen. There was certainly some kind of relationship here to achieve such a disproportionate sentence.

What exactly does Murdoch have to gain for taking such a risky action? He didn't even want to press charges. Or was that some sort of elaborate double bluff?

Well the motive would be revenge obviously. You would hardly expect Murdoch to press charges and expose himself to the public even more in the current climate and suffer further embarrassment, doesn't mean he doesn't want the guy punished. Though you do bring up another ridiculous issue here, the guy claims to be so unphased that he didn't even want to press charges, further demonstrating how this sentence flies in the face of cps guidelines, the prosecution was not in the interest of the victim.

Lol bribed are you on drugs? the sentence is in line with the guidelines and more importantly set precedence. As I posted in the original thread. He's not the first one to get a prision sentence for such an attack and he won't be the last. The moron got what he deserved.

Oh and as for saying gbh or what not barely get any more. Is no reason to shorten this offence. Other sentences need to be increased.

How different is a shaving foam pie to silly string?

I appreciate the circumstances were quite different but taking into account some of the things which have been said on here re common assault there might be some ties in terms of similarity between the two attacks.

Yet another case showing the absurdity of this one, an £80 fine in line with the sentencing guidelines, no prison time.

Murdoch foam pie attacker Jonnie Marbles' jail term cut

A man jailed for six weeks for throwing shaving foam at News Corporation chairman Rupert Murdoch has had his sentence reduced to four weeks.

Really? You're going to go there?...

Couldn't put it better myself...

Yes, because it was nothing to do with you that was Dolph. He hadn't argued clearly or in totality at all, and all my points have been to the best of my ability expressed.

Your argument descended into a near vacuous tantrum, this isn't my problem either..
