u2711? what are the alternatives

i am in the market for the best monitor for my money around £700 im currently using a hanns g hc194d which has served me well but i got a good gaming rig around 18 months ago and need a monitor to do it justice and cant find a better one for the money then the u2711 i no hazro do an alternative for £500 but heard the build quality is terrible i also no samsung are offering there new tech in the SA850 but don't really think it may be a worthy alternative i do use my pc for games watching blu rays and viewing photos any help would be appreciated

You will need a crazy amount of gpu power to get 120FPS at 2560x1440

i know about the hazro but i heard the build quality wasnt good i know the panel is good but the bezel and stand look and feel cheap i suppose you pay for what you get thats why it is cheaper then the dell at the moment i still feel the dell is the best option but am still open to a good alternative and am not aware of a 120hz monitor with that kind of resolution lol yet any way and the monitor is not just for gaming its for watching blu rays and viewing photos etc

i dont think there is a 120hz with that rez

there isnt a huge choice, its either the Dell, the hazro. not sure if there are any others

I meant instead of that resolution wouldn't a 120Hz monitor be preferred for gaming over the higher resolution?

That is a good question and you can make an argument for both and not just on the gaming front ive heard the 120hz monitors offer a really smooth experience in windows as well as gaming but a higher resolution is also a good point for me anyway as it would offer a lot more detail in games and also photos etc ive heard the latest u2711 revision monitors are good for gaming again im no expert thats why i wanted the opinion of other people on here who know more about it then me

i have been doing some more research and have found that the Hazro HZ-27-WA is a favourite on here and overclockers are the only uk retailer that sell them i heard the build quality wasn't as good but some people prefer the glass screen then the anti glare coating on the dells is there any owners on here who use a hazro HZ-27-WA and what are they like in the flesh i like the apple cinema screens but wouldn't pay the price for one also what is hazros after service like as i know they are a lot smaller company then dell, hp etc
