Then you've obviously not read my post. I was commenting on someone claiming that they'd authorise the use of "full force" and the police should round up all the gangs and administer "heavy justice". This is completely counter-productive and will simply serve to fuel the rioters in to doing even more extreme things in response, until things escalate in to such a terrible situation that we either have complete chaos or a massacre. Neither are good.

No, I'm just fed up with the police acting above the law. An off duty police officer knocked over and killed a guy on new years day, left the scene and handed himself in later. No charge.

What's the beef with moaning about horse muck on roads?

It gets run over by vehicles, it gets spread thinly and then when it rains it gets washed away. Even on my bike I've not ever had issues with horse muck. Who is it really effecting?

Admittedly dog poo is dangerous, especially for children, given that I recently read about a child who put their hand in dog poo, rubbed an eye with it and then ended up loosing sight because of it.

Horse Poo is generally only in the roads and in Urban environments it's very rare.

Anyways, back to what's actually happening.
I'm not far from Tottenham, had no idea this was going on, could have been good to go down and get some photos.

The student riots, we saw snatch squads arresting people.

Tonight, we are not seeing that. Angry Muslims with placards calling for the death of the infidel, the Police video the events and make the arrests of camera.

I assume this is culturally sensitive policing.

It's not that rare for me, I live near to a police station and a few mile away from the HQ with a stables.
