I love how the BBC is calling it a "disturbance".

If it's a disturbance then everyone can claim on their insurance. If it's a riot then it fits under most insurance's force majeure clauses and thus you can't claim off your insurance for the damage/loss. Trust me, it's best for everyone that it's seen as a disturbance rather than a riot.
