People on Twitter saying a job centre has been set on fire.

If people are really looting this by the car load, as they are claiming that will destroy the businesses operating there and I can't see how the Police could standby and do nothing.
It doesn't sound like they have the forces to do something about it any more or at least they're expending their forces stopping it from growing geographically any more. When it was down the main road they could almost kettle it, but then everyone spread out. You've got reports of attacks on shops spread over a 2 mile area!

Yes, yes, these are big companies.... but some may be franchises and even then it's going to effect everyone who shops and works there, so you can't just write it off as insurance.

These are also big companies and while insurance might cover the looting, what about the loss of sales if they have to wait to restock an entire store? They will be asking serious questions if the Police don't do anything.

It's getting pretty difficult to get a clear picture now that BBC and Sky aren't really showing much anymore.

It'll be interesting to see what shops don't get looted. I'd be checking those shops out tomorrow if I worked for the police.

arm the police with fabreeze squirty guns, stings in the eyes, bonus it smells of masking bo smell. mmmm nice :) arrghhh it stings my eyes!

water cannon them all from orbit!

Burned out bins forming barricades across Bruce Street.

Police have blocked off Lordship Lane, Wood Green.

Some enterprising rioters just brought up armfuls of coconuts to throw at police.

JobCentre now engulfed in flame.

The guy on LBC right now makes a good point.

If this happens over the death of one man, who was dubious at best, what's going to happen if we had a serious cataclysm, like an Earthquake? There would be nothing left in 5 minutes.

what does that mean?

You think Argos organized a pirate style raid on Boots?

It's Tottenham - there are at least a few shops that are 'fronts' for other less legal organizations. I bet a few small shops are being left suspiciously untouched.

Bloke on LBC who lives right by the retail park just said he seen some one running with a flat screen TV.
