Riots in Tottenham, London! (NO RACIST COMMENTS)

I counted 3 what looked like Muslims and the rest are blacks looting that store, were these people actually under persecution in their country or did they come over for the free loot?

One person in the riot actually shouted " alla ackbar ", run through the video
 
Some from the looks of it a scumbag carrying a gun got shot, its the age old theory if you carry a knife or a gun your likely at some stage to have it turned on you.

You shoot at Police Officers, then get shot back and everyone riots!

Wonder what would have happend if he had lived and killed a coppper!
 
I noticed on the news coverage, that 99% of the people throwing missiles at the police vans were black.

Also 99% of the troublemakers were black.

Was the victim of the "shooting" black too?
 
just woken up to see this. just an excuse for criminals really, looters and arsonists burning down the houses of families should be shot.

And yes your right where is the tear gas, water cannons and other heavy duty riot gear, we need to stop being so soft and give these people the good beating they deserve. It isnt like they can say we were innocent bystanders, who happen to be in the street at 12pm.
 
Well it looks like Tottenham Retail park wasn't put on fire, it was just before then. Still going by the pictures it got looted very badly.

Still hearing sirens and helicopters now.
 
Theres a fine line in policing, tear gas and water cannons can stop people, where the water cannons are, they can also provoke an increase in the intensity in the fighting elsewhere.

Can there be a water cannon in every street, no, so if you hit one group, they might all spread around, say they are being attacked, and then you have a bunch of want to be gangsters who then decide the police stepped it up a level, so they have to, and they start bringing knives, and possibly guns out.

Water cannons and tear gas don't automatically mean the end of a riot, they can just as easily provoke something much much worse.

Look at riots in other countries, as far as it goes, a little looting and no guns involved = tame, and letting it wear itself out could be a whole lot better than provoking something worse.

What's the point of the police then?, they turn up late to reported crime sometimes they don't turn up at all. You hardly ever see one walking about and now riots are allowed to just get on with it
 
I wonder if someone in Comet started to try and hardball sell them three year warranties for their stolen goods as they were leaving.
 
Where were the police to stop that looting!! No doubt they didnt want to kettle the crowd into one area as that wouldn't be fair on them :rolleyes:

That is going to cost some businesses a lot of money between missing stock and down time.

There has been some very bad rioting in NI over the years, but i have never heard reports of any looting!
