Which of these monitors is better which panel is superior the anti glare or the glass one on the hazro i also know they do the hazro without the glass panel

I don't own either and I'm in a similar position with looking for a new monitor but I think If you can afford it I would go with the Dell for the pixel guarantee and next day replacement its probably worth the extra. The mixed reports of cheap build quality on the Hazro and that OcUK looking at there faq would require 6+ dead pixels to give a replacement is putting me off the Hazro's.

i have dell monitors because of the warranty, i havent seen a hazro in person tho, had the hazro had a better warranty i would have one of each, just too risky for me personally, the warranty makes the dell about the same price as the hazro imo, plus if you want the same stand that comes with the dell on the hazro you have to buy separate, at least you did when i was looking at them

Both have made good points and i agree what is the anti glare like on the dell al4x does it make images dirty or is it just rumour

It's certainly not a rumour. It's the laws of physics and the principles by which the roughened surface is able to diffuse ambient light also apply to the light emitted from the monitor. It is a fact that it affects the image but how much it affects an individual's perception of the image is subjective. In other words you can ask as many people as you like what they think about it and you will get a mixed response - you simply have to see it for yourself to gauge whether you would find it bothersome.

3 year warranty from dell
1 year warranty from ocuk

ok i would go for the 3 year option and to be honest i would probably be impressed with most monitors lol im coming from a 19" hanns g hc194d which isnt good at all to a u2711 so no doubt ill be happy

I'm waiting for the HZ27WC to come back into stock, and hoping that the newest incarnation has the upgraded stand - if so then there's hope that once the current WA stock is exhausted, the new WA stock will be likewise equipped. Ultra optimistic? Probably. ;)

lol cant blame you for being optimistic its the best way to be :p well you think they would have a better stand for the money with such a good panel its a shame the stand has to let it down its just the warranty that worry s me as a few other posters in this thread have said it leaves a lot to be desired

I was working with 4x24" Dell LCD monitors and it was like sitting in front of an oven. This has swayed me towards the Hazro LED which I imagine should be much cooler.

i'm looking for a 27" the glass hazro looks amazing but dell is more well known, just waiting for dell reviews before buying either one.

Do overclockers offer the same pixel defect thingy as Dell?

I am very tempted by this screen however for the money I would not be happy if it had even one defective pixel!

Unless I am mistaken the distance selling rules mean that you can send anything back within 7 days if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason. You do have to pay postage but you would get a full refund.

there are loads of dell reviews for this monitor

i can sum up the review for you in one sentence

"great monitor in every way!, except some people find the anti glare coating to be very annoying, some to the point of sending the monitor back"

i have not seen the monitor myself and i am torn between this or the hazro too

at the moment, im leaning towards the hazro

4x24" would only give out about 200watts of heat ;)

It would only be the same as having two 100watt light bulbs in your room
