I respect the turks for their kebabs.
i hope the police learn from this as this may be a worrying insight into the future.
when i was younger, i used to watch films, play video games etc where there was no police and the thought used to terrify me but i would always be of the mindset that, that would never happen. well this is essentially exactly what has happened over the weekend and tonight. peoples homes and lives destroyed by criminals that the police could not stop. this is going to be in the minds of criminals now, they know our police cannot deal with something on what is not that massive a scale really.
props to the asian and turk communities i've read about, taking the defence force into their own hands, it seems like the only way. but what happens if these criminals get onto a slightly more conservative housing area and start breaking into their houses? people who are not geared to defend themselves? this is the stuff nightmares are made of and will destroy a family and dent a community.
we're in real trouble if we have to defend ourselves from an outside force from another country with people like this in the community. we'd be completely and utterly screwed from within!
