I was at Bluewater tonight and it was fine - a little police presence but nothing major.

I would find it difficult to see how rioters could do what they could as access wise it's difficult. It's not got a train station and only buses are the method of public transport and we know how they like to burn a bus. Plus you've only got one main road in.
 
What has caused this? only just seen this as everyone is updating there status's?

Just shows what this country is coming to....
 
My dad and his friend are project managing a major refit for a huge % of carphone warehouse shops across the UK.

Wonder how many have been hit in london :(

Yep police totally undermanned and overwhelmed. Big up the turks and other communities who manned up to the idiots, shame other parts of society do not have this sense of organised community (in numbers!) to get mobilised and resist.
 
rumor Welsh Guards have had warning of deployment call, I.e No drinking and be near a phone etc, Just trying to get in contact with my older brother to see if true.
 
I cant believe the police are asking the parents to call their kids to stop rioting, get off the streets and go home. What the hell is going?!?!?

Don't some parents know how discipline their kids these days?? If I doing that at their age I would get a good beating from my parents! No discipline and respect....that's what's missing with some kids these days!

Aldgate & Whitechapel have calm restored now. Bengali muslims are back to their evening prayers.

Funniest thing was when the people from the mosque rushed them.. some wearing the ocuk perception of the taliban'esque attire, the police hessitated whether to stop them or not. Police just stood thier ground still! I can imagine the thugs shatting themselves - oh why arnt the police stopping these 'terrorists!' when heavily bearded men charged them and then the bengali chefs brandishing their knifes on the other end of the road! I'll try and get some pictures up.

So sad though that it had to come to this, people taking up arms.
