Vast majority of people have paid taxes in some form of other (e.g. VAT). One of the reasons VAT rises aren't popular with some people is because they are felt by the poor as opposed to say income tax.

Its a steel cable, it looks flimsy but in riot situations ive yet to see the windscreen guard pulled down, and thats even with people on the bonnet hauling at it.

I for one would find it a pretty embarassing situation to see the army have to be deployed to deal with hoods. Plus the fact that the army are not trained in crowd control you will have all sorts going wrong, Bloody Sunday??
