Nottingham Victoria centre iirc retains a public right of way through it 24/7. You wouldn't need to smash the doors in, they should be open.

He's pretty much right, at the moment the government needs to make a stand. We've got people jumping out of buildings that are on fire trying to get to safety, people being mugged, peoples homes being burnt down, and its esculating every day while more people watch tv and think "they're getting away with it, why shouldn't I go".

The hypocrisy is, didn't we just agree to basically murder loads of Libyan's because they defended themselves against violent rioters. its all a joke.

What do people think they are achieving, long term, riot 24 hours a day, burn everything down, where will you get your food, your clothes, where will you work to get money to pay for food. Its a joke, these people are simply hurting people directly and hurting everyone indirectly, the cost of the clean up, the repairs, the insurance, the severe damage to the tourist trade, the likely damage to potential income from the Olympics, this will all further hurt an economy on the damn brink already, and who is it going to hurt the most when we can't afford to give out benefits, the people rioting.
 
I think what Cameron does tomorrow could give us an indication on how tough he really is. Like I said in my previous, previous post - time to reside order.

If your looting. You will be shot.

Really? To be fair I never used it that late at night to know but if that is true that makes the fact they smashed through it even more laughable.
 
Is there any point to this rioting? It just seems as though these people are out to rob and destroy anything they can and the violence will not achieve anything.

Personally I think the police should enforce a curfew at night and deploy as many mounted riot police as possible, that'll disperse the mobs soon enough. Or get the army involved . . .
 
Any country that needs to deploy their army to control their own citizens is no better than any third world banana republic.
 
Exactly economy crashed a day or so before this. Think of all the many insurance claims in the morning. Shops. Homes. Burnt out cars.

not the back door, or the front doors. these all locked up.

The side entrance near natwest & specsavers through out to huntingdon street stays open. whilst you can walk through you cannot get anywhere else int he centre, its all blocked off (by shutters)

yes there is a right of way but thats at the center of the building not at the rear entrance or front entrance. trust me i know victoria center and my grandma lives in victoria center flats.

If he doesn't put out a curfew or armyhe has bottled it. Big time.

If not he has only come home to show a front.
