I wonder how many people have been injured take a look at this footage on russiatoday

Skip to 0:20 that dudes face looks totally messed up was that by rioters or the police? ;\
 
The 'riot' in Liverpool was in Grove Street - or have the media just got real-life confused with GTA: San Andreas' last mission?

I wouldn't like to be making the political call this morning. Army on the streets will look like they've lost control, and will make the Police look like they can't handle the situation.

But - they clearly can't handle the situation. And they can't just simply let these scummers smash and loot vast areas of London. They need to do something, but whatever they do they'll be damned.

The big problem now is, the establishment have let the rioters/looters know that they can't handle the situation, and that they have a green light to do whatever they want. That's the reason it spread so wide last night - even spreading to other cities.

I'd love to see the authorities crack down hard, really hard. But would that make things worse, I'm not sure. What if the violence escalates, there are a lot of illegal guns in London - thankfully these haven't been turned on the Police/public yet... :(

this is it if the police over react given the original protest and previous issues it will be wrong, and if they don't do anything it will be wrong. Again if the TA or w/e come in there will be innocent people getting caught up everywhere.

Good morning guys.

Everyone I have met and spoke to over the last couple of days, is saying the same thing.

The police need to crack down hard on these criminals.

Even the sympathetic leftists. The country is let these criminals get away with this.

I think we are going to start seeing the locals banding together vigilante style

To defend their neighbourhoods. Not just ethic groups banding together (Muslims/Turks).

Anyone remember the Korean shopkeepers taking on the looters during the LA riots.

Will be very interesting to see what Cameron says today about this.

I for one am disgusted by what's gone on, chav scum need to be dealt with.

Charlton superstore's emptied out, it's amazing down the street are loads of empty opened cardboard boxes of 43" TVs, apple gear, Kindles etc

I'm shocked it's happened down here :eek:
