Welcome to the UK 2011...
Its only going to get worse, but as said, putting the army on the streets really would be political suicide.

Describe what it is to be British without sounding like a racist...

Any nationality should not treat the country they are living in with this level of "respect" wether they were born here or have moved here. There are people of every race and walk of life involved in these riots, and when it is all settled the economy is going to be in a bigger mess than it already is, why do that to a country you othen have to live in?

Wow, just saw a clip from hackney yesterday I hadn't seen before. Police with shields and batons goaded by a youth, then you see the police whack the scum right in the face with the baton and an audible thump, it was brilliant. He got up still goading, but he was hurt, lol.

I think we'd all love a youtube of that one!

Proportional and reasonable force? It wouldn't surprise me if that incident got referred to the IPCC and the officer suspended.

That’s easy tbh. To defend the underdog, to overcome any adversary or obstacle in your way using your wit and ingenuity. To have pride in everything you do and to do it to the best of your ability. And finally have bad teeth and have the ability to want sun when it rains, and rain when its sunny.

Perhaps 'bored' was the wrong word. Try 'sick' instead. I'm fed up of people offering excuses for this disgusting behavior.

Is that better for you?

Many of the people saying these things have spent years building bridges in their communities. Some of what they say has an element of truth. Some of it is there for just for show and they’re not going come out and burn their bridges whether it be votes or trust/respect in their communities.

The rest appear to be politically correct and are just too afraid to come out and say what most of the country are thinking (i,e. use brute force on the scum and lock them away). I’m afraid that we’ll be hearing excuses for months to come. It’s the nature of the political game.

and then labour will say its because of Tory cuts, the conservatives will blame the police and the thugs will say it was a protest against racist policemen, none of which is true and nothing will be learnt from this.

My friend found the website which they use a message board to plan what they are doing, its going to happen again tonight but in different locations.

I think it was proportional and reasonable force yeah, I'd say anyone seeing it would probably think it's justified. Although I'd like to see it again myself to confirm that.
