Riots in Tottenham, London! (NO RACIST COMMENTS)

Unless I miss-understand, Teresa May seems to have ruled out water cannons due to “feedback” from the police.

I think this is a massive mistake tbh. Even if they cant actively chase down these idiots with them, they can clear areas and hold them whilst officers are deployed elsewhere.

Shame she didn't take her own advice.

3:20 is where it happens

No, I'm talking about where one of the police hits someone in the face with his baton. If it's the same person, it's right at the end of the clip, across the street. Hard to see if it's the same incident though, and the sky clip I saw was up close.

My proposed solution:
  • Due to the fundamental disregard for the rights and responsibilities of society by the rioters, they have forfeited any right to the protection provided by society.
  • Make a public announcment, and keep repeating it, that anyone out looking tonight will be shot.
  • Announce that anyone identified as being involved in the riots, and their immediate family, will lose all state financial support for 12 months.
  • Anyone identified as being involved in the riots and currently housed in local authority housing will be evicted, and the property given to families made homeless during the looting

I wonder how many would still be out tonight? I'm not normally one to call for draconian measures, but the scum that we have seen on the streets the last 3 nights deserve no less.

I'm also amused that most of the rioters are far too young to be a product of previous Tory governments, but are clearly a product of the labour pandering culture, clearly showing that sure start, EMA and the like are complete failures, all we have done is bred an entitlement culture with no sense of responsibility.

"WAH WAH WAH WAH BUT WHAT ABOUT THEIR HUMANS RIGHST!!?!??!?!"

What if someone needs to go to the shops, or hospital. How do you differentiate someone who’s out for genuine reasons? Seriously as much as it sounds inviting, shooting people really wont work.

They're happy enough to use water cannons and baton rounds over here, I guess it's a case of not ******** on your own doorstep.

I think they should have had the army in a long time ago, no pussy footing about we are not dealing with peaceful protesters but dirty violent scum and so they should be treated like the animals they are.

All i'm going to say is that it is VERY easy to say this in hindsight. If the Army had been called in on the first night, the Government would have been accused of heavy handedness, not to mention the stigma that comes attached to having to station your own Army on the streets of your own capital city. Looks great doesn't it?

I have to say removing all money and housing from people and their families who have been shown to riot at the slightest provocation doesn't seem the most sensible option unless it's going to be martial law at all times from now onwards.

Only a minor flaw of course but still..

You don't shoot them for going out, you shoot them for looting or rioting. I think it's fairly easy to spot the difference...

Removing all money and housing? That hasn't happened. Don't be silly and don't try to justify the indefensible.

We've been pouring money into the scum section of the community for years, and yet they riot at the slightest provocation. Taking the money away might not stop them, but giving them money hasn't stopped them either...
