Politically difficult I suppose, I would certainly be happy to see the police and even the army on the streets here, and using water cannon and rubber bullets on these scum.

I think this is a massive mistake tbh. Even if they cant actively chase down these idiots with them, they can clear areas and hold them whilst officers are deployed elsewhere.

TBH i'm going to trust the Met Police, who have had to attend to several riots over their time, more than someone on the internet, who i assume has never even seen a riot, let alone tried to police one.

I wonder how many would still be out tonight? I'm not normally one to call for draconian measures, but the scum that we have seen on the streets the last 3 nights deserve no less.

I'm also amused that most of the rioters are far too young to be a product of previous Tory governments, but are clearly a product of the labour pandering culture, clearly showing that sure start, EMA and the like are complete failures, all we have done is bred an entitlement culture with no sense of responsibility.

Never thought I would say this about one of your posts, but most of what you just wrote there is pure and simple demagogy.

With so many officers on the ground right now, declare curfew from 5pm, establish a pass system ... crack heads.

Edit. Even dd puts forward the same kind of proposals as you did, I would get worried ... :D

Actually I'd say they don't 'usually' riot at the slightest provocation, this is hardly a regular occurence now is it - there are a combination of circumstances which have lead to this - none of which make any of the actions excusable but I'm sure it's somewhat more complex than "THEY ARE JUST SUB-HUMAN SCUM LOLOLOL"

The police force makes it own recommendation. PSNI makes a call on how they want to operate, so does the Met. Don't try and score political points on this. You are as bad as Ken Livingstone.

Don't need the Army and it would set a bad precedent. What is needed is for the Police to be allowed to do their job without a bunch of liberal pussies kicking up a fuss. The Met are more than capable of giving these little scrotes a bloody good kicking, but rightfully fear they will lose their jobs if they do. It's a leadership issue, Theresa May should be sacked, Cameron should have been here 2 days ago and if he can't get things in order he should be sacked too.
 
Just cycled past the aftermath (I live in Ealing, though away from the affected area). You can see the path of destruction, was particulary shocked to see a multitude of cars vandalised down Madely Road, you can see their path of chaos.

They are subhuman scum and there are millions like that in the UK who have no respect for other people or their property.

I think the welfare state has bred a monster. Or rather millions of them.

I'm just wondering how long it's going to be until the Police get blamed for this entire thing, like always.

Just think, if they used rubber bullets and someone died or was serious injured as a result- The Daily Fail headlines next day: "POLICE SHOOT BRIGHT, YOUNG BOY"

etc etc

I am? My post was not to suggest they stop using them in NI more to encourage the use of them in London.
