What film did you watch last night?

Snatch: brilliant as always, 9/10!

Avi: Tony.
Bullet Tooth Tony: What?
Avi: Look in the dog.
Bullet Tooth Tony: What do you mean "look in the dog?"
Avi: I mean open him up.
Bullet Tooth Tony: It's not as if it's a tin of baked beans! What do you mean "open him up"?
:D
Turkish: **** me, hold tight. What's that?
Tommy: It's me belt, Turkish.
Turkish: No, Tommy. There's a gun in your trousers. What's a gun doing in your trousers?
Tommy: It's for protection.
Turkish: Protection from what? "Zee Germans"?
:D

This weeks movies at the cinema were

Captain America:

I really enjoyed it, but I am a bit of a comic book fan. Nothing amazing here but very enjoyable watch on an orange wednesday. 6/10

Super 8:

This was really everything I love about films. Total homage to the goonies and E.T but I loved it for it! 9/10

Swordfish - 4/10

This is actually one of the worst experiences I've had rewatching a film that I liked in the cinema. First time round the ball-bearing scene and everything else seemed great, now I'm shocked by how absolutely awful the acting, dialogue and gratuitous sex scenes are. Ugh. Three out of the four points I gave it are for the ball-bearing scene. The other one is for Don Cheadle's hair.

Demolition Man on TV

God that's an awful film

That's my "guilty pleasure"

It is terrible, but i love it!

I watched Con Air the other night. Nicolas Cage is obviously on a mission to make the worst film ever made but i can't decide which film makes me want to erase my memory more, Con Air, Face Off or The Rock:p

And that's not even mentioning Ghost Rider or The Wicker Man:eek:

Tron Legacy, a lot better than I expected to be honest, I'm a Tron veteran so was not looking forward what I thought to be a remake. 8/10:)

i liked this also , loved the soundtrack and the picture was great in HD.

Hereafter Matt Damon

Bit of a slow burner ,did not seem to get going for me. Fairly boring.

4.5/10

you serious , Con air is a great film as is The Rock! Might not be the greatest actor going but these films are great action movies

I've also recently watched this:

Super 8.

Enjoyable flick, 7/10.

Cannot agree enough with the ET/Goonies homage, good little film.

And could agree more with Anticonscioence's comments - however I'd offer a 9/10 with the additional 2 being awarded for the awesome initial train wreck effects and for Ellie Fanning's (Daktoa's little sister) acting skills.

Hopefully we'll see a lot more of this young girl in the talents in future movies as I thought as child actors/actresses go she was brilliant :)

She was brilliant I'd agree, Kyle chandler was excellent as well, he is brilliant in Friday night lights!

Source Code.

Way better than the 7.6 it gets on IMDB i thought that it was very clever and well done. I love thrillers like source code, shutter island and inception.

8.5/10

Rise of the planet of the apes

I thought it was very good indeed, some of the effects and action sequences were really well done, little things like the look of hatred on the apes faces could not have been done by human actors.

So for that reason i'm in.

8/10
