This I agree with they should be either stopping it or running the ell away but to those who're affected in such a way as their life being flipped upside down by a bunch of yobs will be completely dazed

These are not riots it's mass looting/violence if these youths started getting hurt for their disobedience it would stop rather sharpish I reckon.

As for water cannons you are right they disperse people and also make people rather wet which makes them less inclined to run about the streets being **** holes.

i'm not so sure you know. cameroon could make great political capital out of this if a load of hoodies all get sent for the maximum term.

Thing about water cannons is supposedly there aren't any on the mainland, and they would have to be deployed from Ireland, although i find that kind of difficult to believe.

Time to create a public policing arm of the UK military, like the Italian Carabinieri.

These people are all taking advantage of the weak and under-resourced nature of our police force.
