Dell u2711 or hazro HZ27WA

Yes i have light either side of me im my living room so probably would get the one without the glass then which is a shame cause the misses loves the apple monitors for the look of it you know how women are lol

Just did a test with my old work laptop in the office and as there is some reflection on that TFT screen I might rethink the glass myself :)

LOL cant blame you mate pc format did a review and said it would be better without the plastic panel over the screen they said it offered no benefits just hindered the quality of the panel

The 'C' model is not HDCP compliant so if you want to watch movies then this is probably not your best choice, although I've heard there are ways around it with software.

Would you mind explaining this a bit more? Are you saying that you cannot watch a movie on this monitor?

God that is unreal....

Back to the drawing board for me!

I understand that the WA is affected by input lag no not the best for games.

Is it just very fast FPS type games that the lag/ghosting would show up on? I am more interested in flight simulators and strategy games. I might just order a HZ27WA and see what it's like. Can't be waiting for ever :D

With the WC version just get DVDFab Passkey, it removes the Blu-Ray HDCP encryption and allows you to watch movies. I use it and it's brilliant, it also removes region locks from them as well.

Also the WA has slightly more input lag, although nothing as severe as some Dells apprently. You'd be find using it for gaming.

With the 'C' model you'd need Passkey or something similar to allow movies to work as 'N19h7m4r3' mentioned. As far as I'm aware the 'A' model is HDCP compliant so ok for movies but not as good as the 'C' model regarding input lag when gaming.

ah I see so you can watch AVI, MPEG etc it was just the input from the Blue ray player?

That's right, it plays them all. It's that HDCP is needed for Blu-Ray play back.

Which can be bypassed by Passkey

Going back to the distance selling thing, i just biught one of those acer 24" 120hz 3d monitors and it cost me £25 to send it back.....costly mistake, i will be getting a Hazro instead after reading all these reviews....i have a 24" acer crystallbrite (glossy screen) and couldn't go back to a matt screen, they just look dull and lifeless.

Screw it I bought the WA version. I will need a second one if this turns out to be good and may get the WC version next time if i do detect any serious input lag

Stock is arriving Monday which means you've got until then to grab one of these at this incredible price point, don't miss out guys. :)

Not finished building my rig yet so I've just quickly connected the monitor to my laptop via the VGA cable. Not sure if I there is any difference between using that and a DVI cable from a graphics card in terms of quality.

There is at least one bad pixel which is a shame and the build quality isn't fantastic, bit plasticy. Got to do some more testing when my pc is up and running. Obviously when you read so many reviews and comments you tend to look for the negative first so I need to use it a bit before I can make any judgement.

One thing I will say is that I ordered my bits at around 4:30pm yesterday and to my surprise they arrived today!!
