Riots in Tottenham, London! (NO RACIST COMMENTS)

What non sense, pundit on bbc news is saying that these thieves have an ideological motivation. This is not about cuts or social issues. This is about people taking advantage of the situation using technology to coordinate robbery and disorder.

Sure people are ****ed off with the system and the police, but most of these people have no rationality to their behavior. A rational as "i want some new nikes"
 
Haha, parliament recalled. Just what we need. A bunch of fat, useless and flabby out of touch ass-kissers running cover to save careers talking this thing to death. Bring in the army, run them over and throw them all in the jail. Oh no wait, it's political suicide and next year's expenses fiddling and thievery is more important that ridding the city of baboons.
 
I just took a walk along London Road in West Croydon to get some lunch just now. The amount of damage and smashed glass is awful. Almost every single shop front has the glass smashed in.

There are loads of people milling around and gawking. My usual lunch destinations Co-opand Tesco are closed due to being ramsacked last night. So I went to Munch a bit further up the road. Its lost a couple windows but business is booming. Looks like they got fresh stock in this morning but the shelves are all twisted.

Sirens and police choppers have been very active all day. I may finish up work a bit earlier to avoid any disruption getting home. I'm confident the police will get it under control tonight. They know what they're up against. The army really is not necessary!
 
This is nice :). Comment is also true, these are the Londoners that I know. Not the benefits cheating scumbags who are parasites and pests on the face of our wonderful city :(.

Our country has become a laughing stock, these are from the Telegraph:

Iran has helpfully called for British police to "show restraint" in dealing with the riots, according to state TV.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast urged the British government to order the police to stop their violent confrontation with the people, IRNA reported in the early hours of Tuesday.
Mehmanparast asked the British government to start dialogue with the protesters and to listen to their demands in order to calm the situation down.

China is questioning the safety of the 2012 Olympic Games in London and suggests Britain should consider introducing controls on social media to quell the disruption. Peter Foster in Beijing reports:

Here is a scenario then,

What if they got towards Knightsbridge, or even worse, headed towards royal residences and started rioting there, started fires there.

Would more severe force then be allowed to be used.

Does Buckingham Palace not have military forces stationed there, be it even in a small numbers. How would that be dealt with.
 
I'm hoping all 16,000 of the police being deployed tonight look like this guy.

Because I appreciate the risks of using weapons. I can see both sides and I've stated both sides of the argument in this thread and said the pros and cons of both. I've used previous riots and protests to demonstrate the use of these weapons and showed how it won't be appropriate for what we are seeing in London.
You however seem to be blabbering on about how we need water cannon and tear gas but refuse to explain how that will help and how you deal with the backlash.
I haven't been patronising at all, I'm just asking you to look at the big picture and put forward your view properly and fully.
If I'm antagonising you then perhaps you shouldn't be involved in a perfectly mature and adult discussion as I haven't been threatening towards you.
