You've missed his point. You had good parents who brought you up well. These kids have absent parents, and if their parents are there, they're druggies, alcoholics, and don't give a **** about what they do or whether they go to school.

For these kids, religion is a possible source for teaching morals and providing guidance.

Of course that can go too far. You don't see devout Muslims looting Curry's but Islamists carry their own (obvious) problems.
