This is my project for next winter:

I'll see what I can do.
I've got the massive silver f1 car, 'silver champion' i believe, best part of a meter long, best Christmas present ever without a doubt!
OMG! on the rainforest its £500 new! Looks like a might be quids in!
Just to clarify i DID NOT pay 500 for it, i got it for Christmas many years ago think my parents got it from argos for around £100
Wow suprised at the value of these things now, I've got a whole load of that Star Wars collectors stuff somewhere, models like the blockade runner (10019), will have to check the secondhand value.

But as kaiowas says, this isn't really worth that much either. Kinda thinking I need a metre long lego star destroyer in my life though. Hmmmmm... gain star destroyer, lose wife... is it worth it?...
Is yours still new in a sealed box? No? Then it's not worth £500. Even if it was new, prices on bricklink for that set range from £220 to £610. Used prices are from £100 to £250. Then you need to take into account that sets on Bricklink tend to be marketed at the collectors and are usually in above average condition. eBay prices for completed listings on that set suggest you can expect about £60-£70 assuming it's complete and with instructions, you might get a little more if it's in good condition, boxed and the listing is well written.
I'll see what I can do.
Lego is good but K'nex makes guns...

Personally, I was always a Lego person, Meccano was too fiddly
I failed and gave into temptation, should keep me busy for a few evenings.Oh dear that looks like so much fun.....must resist temptation!![]()
If you go down that route it's only a matter of time before someone posts something mental made from Meccano.
