Where else will they confront him?

Are you in a special needs school or something?

Tell me, where else will they confront him? Maybe if they just sent him a dinner invitation at the local police station he will turn up and hand himself in?

er, in his bedroom at 4:15am when they know the house has no other people in it apart from him and that he's drunk out of his mind because he's been in the boozer all day? Maybe? Like they normally do?

So they were investigating him but didn't know where he lived?

er, in his bedroom at 4:15am when they know the house has no other people in it apart from him and that he's drunk out of his mind because he's been in the boozer all day?

What if they had intelligence he had left the house to shoot someone for example? Seriously, you two are just being silly now.

Anything to slate the police. Anything.

Members who put other members on the ignore list are ignorant and have tunnel vision.

When having a discussion on something, you use facts to try and bring people over to your way of thinking or present them with a representative image of the full case and let them make their own mind up... not just repeat your own opinions and speculation which people can find tiresome and pointless to have to read through.

The UK police are never allowed to target anyone for assasination. Even if they think they 'deserve it'.

But they are allowed to respond to a percieved threat with lethal force, provided that force is proportionate and the percieved threat reasonable.

That's why refusing instructions from armed police units is generally considered a really bad idea, as is making any sudden movements.

Incidentally, possession of a firearm pretty much always falls into the high threat category if there is any suspicion that it could be used

You two are complete morons, take it to another thread please.

He had to be confronted, he was armed and dangerous. I don't want police to wait in that situation.

As far as I'm concerned, another scumbag is off the streets. I do feel sorry for his kids though, they don't deserve this. However, he should have thought about that before becoming a gang member and getting an illegal firearm.

You know what? **** it. Makes no difference to me.

Why not shoot everyone in the street just in the off chance he is armed. That won't backfire at all. Have fun in the bloodlust. Bring back the death penalty while we're at it.

Life isn't all about facts, its important to hear other people's views before making any judgement.

And there it is... ridiculous irrationality.

You'd think the police had just shot dead a child for a laugh the way some people are going on. :/

Fine. Here's what I think.

I think that the armed police could easily all wear small cameras so everyone could see exactly how it went down after the event, but they always refuse to do so. I am confused with regards to the reasoning of this but believe it may be because there are times when they do not want people to know what went down.

I think the police officer that went to hospital because 'he was shot', then was discharged from hospital with exactly ZERO injuries, should be punished.

I think the police officer that shot the first police officer's radio after the event should be punished.

I think the 'er, I felt threatened' line has the risk of being used incorrectly by police officers as a 'get out of jail free' card whenever they seriously mess up.

I think it is doubtful that this drug dealer formed the conclusion he could 'beat' 23 machine gun armed officers, with his single gun, when the event went down.

Anyone disagree with any of the above?

THat might just be the dumbest thing I've ever seen posted anywhere.

An officer who got shot, went to hospital but had no injuries was released should be punished?

Are you completely ******* retarded? Go down to a police station ask them to take you to a firing range, put a kevlar vest on and let them shoot you, when you're winded, struggling to breathe and in a lot of short term pain and ask to be taken to a hospital, they'll all laugh at you and call you a ****.

It hurts getting shot, people get minor injuries from being shot all the time with protection on, bullet proof vests stop the bullet going through your skin, they don't stop the impact or the energy being absorbed, and its painful. How much can a paintball hurt through semi thick clothing, then think if it was a metal slug moving MUCH faster.

Its a precaution, you get taken to the hospital, maybe you've broken ribs, maybe you haven't. Punish him, seriously, how completely stupid.

Why don't they wear camera's, because lots of coppers would be, unfairly, put in jail. You shove someone a little to hard, then also trip and cut themselves, lawsuit. Cops all with camera's = cops won't do anything to help anyone ever again.

As for your opinion of the drug dealer and what he thought, unless you're a criminal, wanted, with previous convictions and I assume looking at a lengthy jail term, you don't know how he'd react.
