Aston shooting (SKY): VW golf car abandoned with doors open someone fled into the estate, police after him with police dogs, 3 armored land rovers AND fully armed police officers inside, so definately a shooting in Aston it seems

That doesn't change the fact you're still wrong. I'm sure there were plenty of white people there looting and rioting but the majority do seem to be black.

I'm not saying it's a race thing, those areas are heavily populated by black people that seem to think the world owes them something and that in the UK they are heavily discriminated against because of their skin colour.

Yeah, I think so. Racism is still a problem; but this isn't a race issue. Think of the word 'chav' - do you think of a black guy? I don't. The problem here is massive increases in inequality followed by a sudden increase in hardship through the recession.

Looks like the trouble has come full circle and back to Tottenham.

The Observer is reporting that a fire has been started at the council rubbish recycling plant with rubbish trucks also on fire.

Sorry do not agree. In the heavily populated black areas, yes but in heavily chavy white areas the majority of the rioters have been white aka the Manchester & Liverpool ones.

At least the black people THINK they have a grievance and are rioting, what excuse have all the white rioters got.

0107: Peter Beaumont of The Observer (there’s a newspaper you don’t hear about often) is on the spot in Tottenham; there is a fire at the council recycling depot there. Explosion not long ago, may have been a fuel tank of some description.

Are you speaking historically or during recent times?

I have lived in (north) london for the last 12 years and whilst there has been hot spots of crime (Stabbings, shootings, muggings, burglary) in the "local" area, it has mainly been in the last 5 years or so it has become more frequent.
