I think we might have moved past there being an easy solution.
There's never been an easy solution, that's my point.
I'm just not sure what the point of this thread is then. We've known for years that an unstable family environment is not good for bringing up kids.
A married mother and father is the best environment for a child to be brought up in. Having a single parent is inferior. Having unmarried parents is inferior. Having two same sex parents is inferior.
Again this is very simplistic. Yes, it might be deemed preferential to have all children brought up by a happily married couple.
But as per my previous post, is it preferential to be brought up by a couple who have domestic issues, violence and abuse, or to be brought up by a single parent, who walks away from that situation?
Saying that the best parents are always married parents, even if true, is a pointless statement. As the reverse is not true, ie enforcing parents to be married, does not automatically make them good parents, never-mind the best.
