Is housing a right or a privilege?

I don't believe it is a right. I do believe we should do our best to keep as many people homed as possible, but when that is thrown back in your face, it's hard to see why it should continue. It takes a lot for me to stop wanting to help people, so much so that there are people I hate who can always count on me when they're in tough situations. But this is making me feel very differently. They have wrecked other peoples' homes, so they obviously don't care about making people homeless. Maybe a taste of their own medicine would make them see just how awful it is. Or trash the place more.

It's just been announced on Sky that Manchester has secured the first two convictions for rioting. A ten week and a sixteen week sentence!

I wait for the Giff. :D

Top man for coming out and saying what he has.

Condolences to him and his family. To lose a son in such a mindless act in these circumstances must be terrible.

I'm usually one for restriant, but we can't allow anythting else to happen now. If there is any more touble tonight the police really need to start cracking heads. Enough warning has been given!

So now the riot police in Manchester are under scrutiny because they gave someone a bit of a kicking. What a shock.

We're all just annoyed that the officer who ran up forgot his baton :p

This kind of lacklustre beating is something we wont put up with

What happens if both statements happen to be completely accurate? (Which they are) Do we have to stop ourselves from saying it even if it's the truth?

You say it like the truth cannot be offensive.

example....would you repeatedly call a fat kid 'fatty' even if it had been pointed out to him almost every day of his life. Does it need to be said repeatedly by others too if it happens to be true ?
