Agreed. Who would you employ? Some East European who is presentable, punctual, enthusiastic, polite etc

Or some fricking deadbeat like the one in the video who looks like this

The post riot reaction is hilarious, cuts, lack of opportunity, racism. oppression. The icing on the cake is opportunist politicians adding fuel to the fire.

Has everyone forgot the reasons why this began?
 
I've always respected you as a poster drunkenmaster but I think you've excelled yourself here. Your last few posts on Labour and spending have nicely summed up thoughts I'd had trouble eloquently and coherently expressing.

As one of the first generation of college students to receiver EMA I can wholeheartedly say that neither my contemporaries nor myself relied on it to study. My £10 a week subsidised my £50 a month bus pass, but it wasn't make or break - I could have cycled or walked the 3-4 miles with little trouble. That £10-30 (depending on family income) was mostly spent on beer, clothes, music or other luxuries for the majority of those who qualified.

I also worked to support myself. College 8-3, then a 4-8 shift in a call center.
 
I'm 21 and I don't recall ever going to a youth centre. What are they for, like the connexions places or leisure centres? How can they be that important. Most of the people rioting are the type who'd sit around on street corners drinking White Lightning and looking to start trouble.

I think it's a shame how the millions of teenagers who aren't scumbags are all tarnished with the reputation of being from a terrible generation of misbehaved youths :(
