Thank you FLORIDA and KENTUCKY!! Florida and Kentucky are the first states that will require drug testing when applying for welfare,effective July 1st. Some people are crying this is unconstitutional. How is this unconstitutional? It's OK to drug test people who work for their money but not those who don't?
 
There is nothing really happening tonight that's why.
Even where there is, they will be small scuffles which aren't going to warrant being able to get a Reporter to them.

The message has got out now that London especially is heavily Policed right now. For anyone who isn't from London, it's actually quite amazing to see how many of them are out on the beat. They are everywhere.

Secondly, it's got the point where people are starting to go to court and there are so many pictures out there of the Looters, some of them may have finally got the message. Perhaps also some parents have actually put their foot down and stopped their kids going out.

I'd say it's mostly over now until Police numbers go back to normal and it makes it easier to try again.

After four nights of keep abreast of everything going on, it's been a little strange doing the stuff I'd normally do, rather than being glued to what's happening on the news. Anyone else find that?

Never seen such a massive police presence on the streets! I really wish these kind of numbers were permanent, crime would be almost non-existent!
 
Got bored of SKY so thought I'd give Sangat - 847 a go again and some pretty good live interviews (the ones in English!) where those 3 guys were run over, other than that thats about it for any coverage I think (as nothing is happening anyway)
 
Was really quite nice to be out in Nottingham last night with such a heavy police presence. Felt completely safe despite what's been going on.

I wasn't saying that NZ is a bad place to live, I was just going on what I've heard on NZ related forums.
 
I do think there will be a 'second wind' of violence at some stage in the coming weeks when policing (and vigilante) numbers have scaled down a bit; the question is whether it will just be isolated incidents or will escalate into something like we saw on Monday night. At the moment there will be a lot of rioters counting their winnings, licking their wounds, recounting tales and biding their time until they need to go out rampaging again. The key element is catching the police off guard which at the moment is virtually impossible.

In any event one would hope that the police/govt will at least have had a wakeup call and put contingency plans in place for the next time something like this kicks off. Copycat riots won't happen if the response is quick and decisive, part of the problem earlier in the week was that due to the modern media it was plain to see that it was open season with free reign to do what you wanted, unless you were very unlucky.

One thing I am pleased with is the 'swift justice' whereby people are getting convicted and sentanced quickly after the event, as this is sending out a message even if the reality is that only a tiny percentage of criminals are actually getting punished. In some ways from a short-term public order point of view it is better to see 0.1% of criminals banged up now than 0.5% banged up a few weeks in the future.

Ok, someone just sent me a text saying the EDL are planning attacks on mosques through their Forums. Can someone please help verify or (more likely) disprove this.

Absolute rubbish.

I saw all the twitter rumours last night about 500 National Front marching to Lewisham when I don't even think the NF is still active. Of course this was all made up.

The left wingers are spreading their agitprop and lies to discredit any gathering of White people against the disorder.

One of the Guardian journalists last night tweeted that there were Whites in Enfield shouting anti-Asian slogans but he then later completely retracted this statement with a pitiful excuse.

They are playing for your minds. Don't forget that.
