I think one of the main things is the government trying to replace mens/fathers role in society. Men are dominant figures and thus the enemy to P.C, which will always side with the perceived underdog by default. Children, criminals, immigrants, etc are all underdogs. What you get is a complete lack of dad's common sense and discipline. It's like the Russians replacing their free economy with communist command economy. The UK sort of went from a free family to a P.C. command family.

Police afraid to smack criminals.
Dads afraid to smack kids.
Single mums being almost the norm, with the government paying for everything, and becoming the father in effect.
Just a general emasculation of men.

I know but its just a point to think about and something I always do think about, besides sometimes looking at history actually helps in many aspects of life. They say its vital to look at the past so we can learn what we did wrong, why wars started etc, so we can learn from our mistakes so hopefully they dont happen again.

The fact is in the past teachers/police/parents were more strict with their kids and kids were better behaved and had more respect. Over time this has changed because we've become too relaxed because of too much freedom and now things are getting out of control.

In my eyes theres only one more solution which is to become a more strict society, police and teachers need to become more strict and so do parents, how we make all that happen though, I dont know.

  • Lack of free university ---why should uni be free, if the whole country had a degree, degree's would be worthless, they almost are now, why should people who don't go to uni pay for those that do?
  • The Iraq war --- has nothing to do with this, maybe a real war for a decent cause and conscription/national service might help
  • Lack of free houses ---why should housing be free,
  • Lack of opportunities -- talk to labour about pushing jobs overseas
  • Lack of community leaders, what ever the hell those are
  • Lack of "jobs", nothing specific just "jobs" (GOVERNMENT DO SOMETHING!!) -- you can't create jobs out of thin air, except Labour, they are tax paid, they got us into this trouble by creating jobs out of thin air, your answer is to make it worse and cause another massive and worse recession
  • Single parent families (BAN 'EM)----- until recently(in terms of the last 20-30 years) most families were essentially single parent, man working hard, maybe off at war, there were never problems, this isn't an issue, trying to make it one ignores the real problems..... ie kids used to be busy, were treated as adults at a younger age and weren't sitting around with nothing to do, idle hands.........
  • Bankers------- have created TRILLIONS more for our economy than taken out of it, weren't even close to the cause of the financial crisis and are still generating more money than just about anything else in the UK.

The vast majority of your list is labours fault, the country has to stop pretending things can be better if we just do something differently. Cuts HAVE TO HAPPEN, the sooner its done, and the sooner spending is under control the sooner the economy will get more stable, start to grow and things can get better. We overspend when the goings good and are completely unable to do the reverse when the goings bad.
 
Urgh... First time i've been able to watch the news today. Watching all these interviews with these chav parents and kids is making me feel sick. So glad to see police beating down on the scumbags whether or not they tried to fight back. If they was involved in causing damage during the night, then they fully deserve a beat down.

OURS.

We need to stop this political game of simply moving from one hand slapping our face to another hand slapping our face, look at the US...do we really want that here?

Frankly all thats left is the BNP and UKIP, so im rather fond of Farage at the moment.

They are an absolute deadweight upon society, because they contribute nothing yet cost the taxpayer billions. Liberal opinion holds they are victims, because society has failed to provide them with opportunities to develop their potential.

Most of us would say this is nonsense. Rather, they are victims of a perverted social ethos, which elevates personal freedom to an absolute, and denies the underclass the discipline — tough love — which alone might enable some of its members to escape from the swamp of dependency in which they live.

The dailymail is not even remotely respected anymore, why you had to use it is beyond me.

Even if you stop paying the people, they will still be there, only now they will resort fully to crime.

THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM OF MONEY, that is far too late, it would have been in the earlier years of the welfare state and we could have solved it, but labour has pretty much made sure that we have no real solution.

How about you go through the article and point out what's wrong with it's assessment?

My solution to crime is the castle doctrine and concealed carry.
