Rise of the Planet of the Apes

What plot hole? The new film isn't telling the same story as the old one.

The whole story leading up to the great war revolves around Caesar being the first ape to say 'no'.
In the original film he was born to Zira & Cornelius who came to Earth from the future but in the new film he was given an alzheimers drug.
Forgot to mention that in the Apes history they believed it was Aldo who said 'no' first.

Have you seen the film?

Caesar's mum was given the drug, not Caesar. The effects were passed on.

but Caesars mum in the new film is not Kira who had come from the future.

Original film: Kira comes from the future and gives birth to Caesar
New film: Caesars mummy is not from the future and is given a drug

(Yes, I did get my words mixed up in the post you replied to)

Even still, it remains that there is no plot hole. This film is a new reboot of the series, not acting as a prequel to the original.

Fancy expanding?

Right so in the Ape sanctuary (or what ever it is called), there is what... 30 or so apes... 50 at max, and that's being generous. When they escape and they are coming over the hills, when you see the car driving along the roads to the place, there is well well over 30-50 apes...like outstanding amounts.

And then on the bridge where on earth have the extra 6/7 Orangutans, quite a few more massive Silver backs come from they have appeared from no where.

When they break down the fence at the Zoo, there's a few more but not that many. And how do the Apes in the Zoo know how to break off the Iron bars to make them spears. Just obvious stuff that doesn't make sense at all.

It seems that I have the film wrong then.
I thought it was a prequel to the Planet of The Apes films and telling the story how Apes came to power but it seems it isn't related.
Still give it 9.5/10 though.

There is at least one more film to come, so it can be considered as a re-telling, with it's own chain of events.

You seem to be the only one :p

ps3ud0

Maybe it's just a prequel to the original.

The other sequels got a bit silly imo.

I didn't notice any plot holes, but I thought they got the time scale of events a little wrong. Like they tried to sum everything up too fast.

I miss the days of only paying £4.50 as a student. Ultimate passes/month long passes aren't too bad, usually only cost the price of two films and some months can have loads of decent films to watch.

pfft I miss the days of £3 for a normal ticket.

Have to fit it all into 100 (real 90) minutes unfortunately, looking forward to the extended edition :D

Me being a big movie lover i find that cinema tickets are expensive, it's even more than going out on the town/takeaway.

standard adult ticket is between £8-10
or if 3d can be £11 - £12 +
then you have the food itself which is costly for example a regular coke £2.50 or XL - £3.50 if you buy popcorn or pickamix will be another £3.50 nearly £20. So if your taking your misses it can be a very expensive night.

So it's understandable why ppl torrent movies. Cinema's are greedy with their prices, you could go to tesco's ect. and get a 2 litre bottle of coke for £1.50 some bag of sweets for £1. Its simply cause it's a business to make profit. if i had to choose between watching good quality cam or going to the cinema i would choose torrents on the basis i just saved myself £20 + for a new game ect.. which would last longer.

You don't have to buy food at the Cinema, and if the price is too much, get an unlimited card? My local Cineworld charges £4 for an adult ticket on Tuesdays, and do an unlimited card for £15 a month, for example.

That's £3.75 per viewing if you went once a week, and you can easily enough go to Tesco and load up on food there.
