Also have these on it to which gives me the option of cycling shoes depending how i get on with it.

Did a lap of Cannock today (Monkey Trail) which was good fun, although my hardtail got a bit beaten up over the rutted berms on the switchback sections.

I've noticed a build-up of oil around the seals on the right leg of my Fox 32's, and after one of the more bumpy descents there was a trickle running all the way down the back of the fork leg. Doesn't sound good I know, any ideas what might have popped? The forks still seem to work fine.

Figured this would be the place to ask rather than making a new thread, looking into getting a road bike for work/rides on the weekends, but abit unsure on where to start looking.

Ideally my budget is between £300-£600, had been looking at the carrera TDF from halfords but seen a lot of mixed reviews on here from them.

You're probably better off asking in the Road Bike Thread.

if they are in the cycle to work scheme get it through that as the bike above costs less thn £500 and comes out of your pay packet. been told giant are pretty good and reviews back it up.

Meh, go show the roadies, we talk about Big bikes here :D

( think come new year or something we ask for this thread to be closed and we start a "The Mountain bikes thread")

big bikes to me are 1000cc motorbikes not poncy pedal ones!

:D

i won't let the door hit me in the arse on the way out lol....

Still think we should ask for a subforum, and then start 2 chat threads, one for MTB and one for road.

Back from the Peak District and Cannock! and in work :(

PD was brilliant, did a nice 17mile ride around Ladybower Reservoir (the Dambuster practice reservoir) that nearly killed me. Some great natural downhill rides there!

Cannock was just brilliant fun. about 8 different marked DH runs (some fast and smooth, others with ladder drops that made me **** myself just looking at them). Had loads of good fast runs! Even went back there on the way home for a day! Was a good learning curve for my jumping. Now to get back to Cwmcarn this week!!

Any ideas guys?

I have the testicular fortitude ;)
First video is me going it with a chest cam view, second is my mate. Both filmed today

Here's a bit more motivation for Supercow, me following Spud and Nick across the Stream gap. First time out there, only one problem, a week in Morzine isn't enough. :(
